My daughter got this book for Christmas. It was our first time meeting The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We all enjoyed it very much. It has nice big stickers inside and the illustrations are wonderful. Actually we tried to colour tissue papers like Eric Carle does but we didn`t succeed. We need to try again :)
My daughter`s favourite part was when she could shout:
BUT HE WAS STILL HUNGRY!
:)
Anyway the book inspired us to draw a very hungry caterpillar ourselves. And we made a caterpillar puppet too. It was a lot of fun to play with as we could make it move like a real caterpillar :D (Puppet idea from Mister Maker)

Love the puppet! How fun! Add some felt food and you could re-create the story in such a fun, interactive way!

Hi Linda
Thanks for popping by my blog!! I just love this caterpillar puppet. We too are big Mister Maker fans and I have fallen for all of Eric Carle’s books! The Hungry Caterpillar is a favourite!
Take Care,
Georgia
such a lovely caterpillar:)
I agree with Elisabeth.
Go and start with volunteering at Annabel’s school.
Show them your stuff that we’ve made with Annabel.
Linda, you must really become a teacher in an Infants School as you are so clever is resourceful. And Annabel, grandma and grandad must read the Hungry Caterpillar book with you when we come next.
