This month we landed in Iceland on our “Around the World in 12 Dishes” travel. As I flicked through the recipes one of them caught my eye straight away- because it was something from my childhood. I hadn`t cooked it for years and thought to give it a go. And yes it tasted just like when I was a child.
Here it is:
All you need is about 1/2 litre water and milk, 120 g macaroni, a bit of salt and sugar. Cook pasta in water and add some ( I really did not measure it) milk, salt, sugar … let it simmer a little bit and it is done!
I LOVED it. You can serve the soup with cinnamon if you like but I did not have cinnamon at home and it tasted good without it too. I will definitely be making the soup again.. as it`s quick, easy, warming and inexpensive. My lil one was eager to help me by measuring out the pasta but I knew she would not even try the soup. Never mind.. she is in Portugal already which is our next month and made a delicious cake tonight. But more about this next time!

Have fun and see you in Portugal!
