Mermaids` Makings

Cultural Exchange- Australia

This lovely package came all the way from Australia!

The biggest hit was a teeny tiny koala. My daughter took it away as soon as she saw it and carried it with her the whole day. And the next day as well. It was so lovely to see how she introduced the koala to her other furry friends :)

We also got a memory stick with some nice colouring pages, recipes and information about Australia. I found the animal part the most interesting. Australia seems like another planet! And do they really eat these cute kangaroos! My favourite animals are crocodiles so it was exciting to read about them and and to see their cute photos. Yeah.. crocs are as cute as roos :)

Then we found a nice fridge magnet (my collection just got bigger), a road sign (just thinking here to put it near our furry koala, so we can play “travelling to Australia” ;) ), a pretty mouse pad (which I needed badly), a set of pencils and pencil case, some play money (I`m going to laminate all the play money we have got for our travelling game), stickers, tattoos (my daughter’s favourite again.. I don`t get this kids` tattoo obsession :D ), a flag and some chocolates and Vegemite. It was my first try of Vegemite! And I`m going to bake some Anzac biscuits soon!

I printed out some colouring pages and we coloured in the Koala and the Kangaroo. My daughter started with the Koala whilst I did the Kangaroo and when we were half way we swapped our sheets.. so I finished the Koala and she finished the Kangaroo. It was a fun way to colour them in.

Thank you for the very interesting package. We had lots of fun exploring Australia!

Could you possibly send them to me? They’re lovely and, as an Australian school teacher, a great fast finishers activity.

That would be wonderful! I’m a primary school teacher and we’re doing Australia at the moment – I’m sure the children would love them! Can you see my email along with my comment or do I need to send it to you?
