Mermaids` Makings

A Geography Day

We had a geography day today. Our grandparents came over and brought lil mermaid an early Christmas present- a LeapFrog map and an interesting card game. So in the afternoon we were busy exploring the Leap Frog map and in the evening we played the card game which is fun for children and adults alike.  All you have to do is memorise the picture on the front of the card showing things specific to the country and then answer one of the questions on the back (without looking at the card obviously). Lil Mermaid enjoyed fnding the countries on the map as well as trying to remember whether the stripes on the Honduran flag were horizontal or not…

The book lil mermaid unwrapped today was:

What a nice coincidence! Goes very well with the Christmas present :)

Maps are just so wonderful, so many varieties and so much to talk about. What a wonderful day for your daughter and her grandma.

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment :)
