Mermaids` Makings

Sponge Printed Pumpkins

I saw Mr Maker making some colourful snowflake patterns on his programme a few days ago and that gave me an idea. I thought I would try it except decorating pumpkins instead  of snowflakes. First I just cut out a face and painted it with a sponge. Next I cut out a pumpkin shape, and folded and cut it as if  I was making a snowflake pattern. I placed it on orange card and then used one paint before moving the pattern slightly, painting again in a different colour and then repeating the process with a third colour paint. It is quite exciting to see the results when you remove the paper.
