Mermaids` Makings

Daffodil Invitation

I made a few daffodils and tulips. Two of the daffodils I turned into invitations for our lunch party next Saturday. On the picture there is one happy recipient :)

We looked at pictures of the different types of daffodil.. counted the petals and looked how the blossoms were made.

I cut out each petal separately and glued them onto a little circle so that the petals overlapped slightly. For the sepal I used an egg carton painted yellow. For the stalk I used a straw but I reinforced it with a bbq skewer (I just fed it through the straw). And finally I covered the stalk in green tissue paper.

We are going to play flower shops with the rest of the flowers.

Kuna meil on õhtusöök koos sõpradega plaanis, siis kahest lillest said kutsed.
