Mermaids` Makings

Valentine Wreath- Südamekujuline pärg

I got this wreath idea from scrumdilli- do! last Christmas. I planned to make their mini wreathes  but as we had so many things to do we just did not have time. So now just before Valentines Day I thought to make  a heart shaped one instead.  I love, love, love the result! It looks so cute :)

As our old phone books are on top of the kitchen cupboard (read: too high to reach), I used newspaper instead. I painted them pinkish red :) and let them dry overnight. There is constantly something drying on our kitchen top and I am so lucky that my husband doesn`t mind :D

Then I cut the newspaper into small pieces (2 x 2 cm) and using the pencil trick stuck them onto the heart shape which I had cut out from a cereal box before. And no, I haven`t done this pencil trick in my childhood :) I actually had never heard of it before, but I must say it is very useful!

When I will finish all three wreaths I`m going to hang them in our living room!

Sellist paberitykkidest pärga on tegelikult väga lihtne teha ja ta näeb väga ilus välja. Eriti laheda efekti annab mu meelest värvitud ajalehepaber.

* Kõigepealt värvisin ajalehe kergelt roosaka värviga ära. Just kergelt, et ajaleht ise veidi välja paistaks.

* Siis lõikasin maisihelveste pakendist välja seest tühjad sydame kujud.

* Kui ajaleht oli kuiv, lõikasin umbes 2 x 2 cm suurused ruudukesed.

 * Katsin sydame pva liimiga.

* Võtsin ümmarguse otsaga pliiatsi ja panin selle ruudukujulise ajalehetüki keskele veidi sõrmedega paberit ülespoole koolutades ning vajutasin pliiatsiga selle ajalehetüki südame peale. Ja nii vajutasin neid ajahlehetükke pliitsiga üksteise kõrvale, kuni terve süda sai kaetud.

Ajalehel värvisin ära ainult yhe poole ning pliiatsiga vajutasin värvitud poole pealt.

      Hea meelega! Ma olen arvanud, et siin on iglisekeelne lugejaskond ja seepärast ei ole eriti eesti keeles kirjutanud. Püüan rohkem eesti keeles kirjutada :)
      Täiendan postitust :)
