Mermaids` Makings

Christmas Tree Noteboard

We made this noteboard for daddy`s birthday a few months ago. We have used it a lot since then and it really is very handy. I wanted to make one for lil mermaid  as well as she writes so many notes all the time. So as it is Christmas time.. I thought of a Christmas tree. Well a fir tree really. It is not decorated so we can use it all year round.

Making hand and footprints are childrens favourite activities, aren`t they! Our little one  enjoyed this messy part of the craft.. and.. so did I. So we both made some handprints. After they were dry I cut them out and we arranged them on the cardboard as a fir tree. The next step was decorating the pegs. After they were dry I covered them in mod podge, let them dry again and them I glued them onto the fir tree. Lil mermaid made some baubles and stuck them between the pegs. After Christmas she can put her very important notes there :)

Edit a year later: we have used the noteboard the whole year. It`s so handy!

So this year I`m sharing it with:
