Mermaids` Makings

Gingerbreadman Christmas Cards

We made some Gingerbreadman Christmas cards.

For the sponge print cards we used the same template as last year. But this year we added a Christmas Tree as well. For the background we  used bubble prints what we made ages ago.

And these are sandpaper gingerbreadman cards. Inspiration from here.

We actually had 5 of these Gingerbreadmen but Lil Mermaid decided that one of them was her friend and started to play with him. Then we read the Gingerbreadman (her favourite book) – the one where the little old woman bakes a gingerbreadman for her and her husband, but the gingerbreadman doesn’t want to be eaten and runs out of the house. He ends up being chased by a horse and a cow, before coming to a river where a cunning fox offers him help in getting across. Inevitably of course, the fox is too clever for the gingerbreadman, tosses him up into the air and eats him.
